Need serial numbered material to be reserved after sales order creation

Dear All,

I have a scenario

I am creating a sales order with multiple line items. Out of that 1 line item is with serial numbered material.

I want this serial numbered material to be reserved (may be manual allocation) so that other sales order should not consume the same.

Hi Vishawas,

You can allocate that particular serial number while creating sales order (however it is not recommended ).

For allocating the serial numbers select that line item and goto Extras--> Technical object and assign the serial number.

Serial number is already assigned...that was not my point...

Once we have sales order created for a serial numbered material, how can i reserve this material for only this sales order...not for any other sales order...

In the serial number profile activate Serial Number assignment for stock postings

check this in OIS2 transaction for more details
