Hi SAP Experts,
We have configured a Domestic Outbound scenario in which the loading point is a Production Plant and the unloading points are final customers.
One of the Scenarios includes an intermedia stop for cross docking (No intermodal) so we are working with transshipment location.
One of the requirements is that the truck remains complete in this intermedia stop (no need to unload and reload the cargo) Despite we are taking the incompatibilities "Freight unit - Transshipment Location" TM is still proposing to unload and reload the cargo even if is the same Vehicle Resource.
Do you know what can I been missed to declare this unload / reload definition?
Thanks for your help!
Hello Martin,
Could you explain the need to pass in the transshipment location?
Best regards,

Hi Vicente;
The detail of the Whole scenario bellows:
The operating time of the Plant just for departures is 06:00hrs to 23:59hrs
Each customer has its own operating times for instance:
For Customer "A" Lead Time: 14 hrs - Oper Window: 07:00 to 14:00 hrs
For customer "B" Lead Time: 9 hrs - Oper Window: 07:00 to 18:00 hrs
And here is where it becomes tricky:
If you send a Truck to customer A:
-For safety reason you are available to send it from 03:00 to 10:00 hrs
-You can have the truck loaded early.
If you send a Truck to customer B:
-For safety reason you are available to send it from 06:00 to 18:00 hrs
-You can have the truck loaded early
So we are working with the transshipment location as a "Parking lot" where the truck remains until the departure window match the "safety departure time"
This is why we don´t really want to unload and reload the cargo because it is just a parking lot, once the "safety departure time" is reached the truck will continue the trip.
Thanks for your Help.

Hi Vinod,
We have defined:
And also for the transshipment location:
But we are looking for the restriction in which is declared that a Means of transport can´t be unloaded and reloaded in a transshipment location, Do you know it?
Thanks for your help.
Camilo
Hi Camilo
Try defining operating times (inbound and outbound) for plant, transshipment loc and Distribution centre. If the OTR/DTR is pickup at plant and deliver at DC. There is no reason why it will unload at Transhipment location.
Also play with planning cost settings w.r.t earliness and lateness costs.
How is the route defined?
Regards
Vinod
