You should use Java 1.6 (for example, 1.6.0_45 is latest version) or for some versions of Java 1.7: lower security level at control panel for "Java".

Follow Inaki Vila's solution, that must work.
If that doesn't work your only option is to delete Java cache files/ clear java cache every time you want to open ESR/ID.
