Can any one explain what is comparison terms

Hi Experts,

Can you please explain what is comparison terms and how it is being used and helped in SPL screening process .

And also, why do we need to use transactions such as

1. Generate Comparison terms ( what happens if we do this )

2. Evaluate comparison terms ( what happens if we do this )

Hi Krish,

For SPL screening, system needs to create index for the various partner addresses and SPL addresses. This is called comparison index. These terms/indexes serves as the basis on which screening of business partner addresses is done. During actual SPL screening, system divides the SPL master data and business partner data into search terms. The system only performs a comparison check of the search terms generated, hence reducing the time taken for SPL screening significantly. This is just creating indexes, which can then be readily used for finding out any SPL hit with a generated reference.

I guess my above comments also explains  your query on generate comparison terms.

While evaluation terms is something where you evaluate your  terms for SPL screening based on defined percentage criteria. This means you define what percentage should be used as selection criteria to get valid SPL hits. This overall improves the quality of SPL hits and system performance.
