In a General Task List how can you use Components from another Plant?

Our equipment is attached to Plant TPW but the parts for these pieces of
equipment are in Plant F049. Using transaction IW31 on the Components tab there
is no issue when using parts from the F049 Plant, but in transaction IA05 when
we create a General Task List and reference a material from Plant F049 we
receive the following error "Material 68083 not maintained in plant
TPW".

What do we have to do to be able to use the material from Plant F049 in a General
Task List from Plant TPW?

Hi,

The system will not allow you to enter the plant unless the material has been created fro that plant. The only option would be to create a Bill of Material and add the BOM to the task list.

Paul thanks for the prompt response.

I created a Material Bom in Plant F049 but when I tried to bring it into the Task List still getting a message that the material is not maintained in Plant TPW.
Is there a series of steps required to make this happen?

Hi Paul ,

Why not just create this BOM in TPW via mm01 ?

Hello

First of all please extend the material to require plants and Create the Bill Of Materials at Planning Plant level. If Planning done at Centralized then above logic will work.
