Hi,

If you are unable to enter into SAP:

1. Check SAP and DB is up running or not.

2. Check whether archieving directory (/oracle/<SID>/saparch) full or not.

3. Check DPMON whether any dialog processes are free.

If I need to shut and restart the SAP system (central system) but there are some users who haven't logged off SAP is it possible to issue a command that doesnt allow a user to start a new process/transaction and automatically logs the user off once current transaction is completed.

I tried "BRSPACE -f dbshut -m transactional" but this complained about the application still running. Is there a similar command for shutting application in transactional mode?

strange ideas

-> you could lock/unlock the system (using tp locksys for example...cron based)

-> you could stop the saprouterif all access comes through saprouter...

-> you could lock all users (update SAP<SID>.usr02 set uflag = 064) job based

what is the purpose of this procedure?
