Dear All,

We have 4 Prod systems (ECC,PI,BI and Portal),

ECC is active and active cluster.

PI,Portal and BI are Active and passive cluster.

Now my question is how to identify SAP is installed in high availability or Distributed systems or Central installation in our exiting Prod systems?

Please advise.

Thanks

Hello John,

In nodes check for /usr/sap/<SID>/ASCSXX and /usr/sap/<SID>/ERSXX directories, if you have these, it states your systems are HA. since high availability is splitting of Enque and ASCS in to cluster nodes.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Bala

All your queries should clarify if you go through the installation guide for example https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/012002523100010922012014E

This guide has graphical images which shows you what are the installation options.

page 17 for central system.

page 18 for distributed system.

page 19 for HA system.
