Price for sending high volumes of data in XI

Hello All,

I have a question about XI license cost. Is there any price we have to give to SAP as part of license whenever we are sending high volumes of data through XI.

license in XI works a lil different of other modules.

For XI, you pay a fee for acquiring the software and also you pay by the volume of messages exchanged.

Can you elaborate little bit about pay by the volume of messages exchanged.

Do we need to pay each time for the volume of messages exchanged? Why is that?
