External Transports with ChaRM

Hi

We wish to use external transports with ChaRM, as per page 34 and 35 in the below link:

The most important question is can we use cCTS for external transports? The reason I ask is that we are on Solution Manager 7.1 SP8 (we are not on SP10).

Can someone please confirm?

If we can use it, what exactly do we need to setup? I'm a bit confused because it talks about clusters and landscapes and delivery routes etc. We already are using ChaRM and already have landscapes setup. (ie. DEV > QAS > PREPROD > PROD).
