Hi experts,
I have seen few interfaces where context ie field has been changed or shifted to node
EX : partner_q of E1ADRM1 to E1EDL20
why do we need to do this
when do we need to do this, I mean how will I know I have to shift the context to node
please suggest
Hi Kishore,
why do we need to do this
Because you can develop mappings easier.
when do we need to do this
There no a straight answer for this. First of you should to have clear what is a context, Sirnu gives you a good example, a tag has so many contexts as tags are its fathers.
Sometimes it is useful to have a queue with all the values belonging at the same context, for example:
World > Continent > Country > Region > Population (end tag)
If you want to map the population in the nex output World > Continent > Country > Population (end tag), you would need to sum all the population by region, but it is easier to sum directly all the population by country.
I think this Grzegorz Glowacki blog explains it better
