WM Physical Inventory

Former Member

Hello,

The base UoM is EA and Alternate UoM is CA (Cases) and 1 CA = 30 EA.

While physical inventory counting through RF, the count quantity is automatically setting base UoM as CA and alternative UoM to EA without calculating the conversion.

Like if the count entered is 2, the base unit will be 2 CA and alternate unit is 2 EA.

Only at the time of write-off the 2 CA is getting converted and instead of 711 movement, it is making 712 and adding 28 qty to stock.

Could anybody help me to solve the issue.

Thanks and Regards,

Praveen Sridhar

It's a program flaw in your custom transation.
Developer must use the function MATERIAL_UNIT_CONVERSION in order to get the actual qty in alternative UoM properly.

Are you using SAP standard Transaction or Custom transaction to perform the count

What is the WM Unit of measure defined for the material in the material master for which you are performing the count

Hi Manish,

Its the custom transaction/program for RF. Its happening only for material with CA as alternate UoM.

In material master the base UoM is EA and no WM unit is maintained.

If it is custom then check with your developer he will be the right person to guide you.It seems the scenario / Logic is not built properly in your custom program when you have WM unit of measure defined in system
