Hello,
I installed the Java EE 5 AS on a virtual machine successfully.
Then I tried the installation on my notebook.
The instance SCS 01 start successfully.
But the Java instance 00 cannot start. I see a yellow icon in MMC for 60 seconds with the message "Connecting to message server".
After 1 minute the process jstart.exe is automatically killed.
Any idea?
It would be helpful to know a shell command (from the sap tools), with which I could test the connection from the shell.

Problem solved: there was a second network connection (VPN) disturbing the AS.
