This is kishore iam new to xi i want to know wht is bussiness sysetm and technical system in xi wht are the roles and how to create bussiness and technical systems.

Hi,

There are already answers in the links.. Just in two cents:

Technical Systems: represents the actual physical entity. Most of the time it has relevance in the system landscape. Like SAP system is a Technical system.

Business System is a logical representation of the technical system.You can create different types of Business/Technical Systems based on the requirements. Like ABAP based, Java Based, Standalone,Third-Party..

If you go with Third-Party, many a times it is just a logical entity.

These entries are created in the SLD. If you are not sure to do with SLD level, you can always create a Business Service, ie Abstract Service to configure your scenario. Here there is no SLD entry.. You can create Business Service in Integration Diretcory.

Hi Kishore,

Go by SAP official documents on Business System and Technical System:

Technical system represents the phyiscal system, it contains all the physical charateristics of ur system for eg while creating a Technical system for your R3 system - u specify the host name, message server, OS, the clients etc.

Business System is a logical entity which represents logical view of your technical system. (eg a client in R3 system can be respresented as business system in SLD) For one technical system you can have multiple business systems.

Business System is a logical rep of a Technical System. Technical system can be a physical machine, it have a IP. Can be a ERP, J2EE etc. A Business System is a logical term that we use into the Business Scenarios and represent these Technical System that we had created.
