SAP Screen Personas - Problem with entering field value

Hi,

I have created a flavour on transaction VC01N_M - Creating Mailings.

Within this flavour, I am not able to enter any values in some field, for example contact type or organizational units (neither a free text nor via search help).

Even on standard screen (but within flavour editor) the same problem.

Did anyone have similiar problems with other dynpros or any suggestion where this behavior comes from?

We are using the latest ERP 6.17 with Personas 200 SP 0002, Basis 740 SP 0007.

Hi Mark,

This is because the dropdown box is marked as "read only".

Do this, it works for me:

In edit mode, select the "Type" dropdown list, click the up-right corner Property icon, change

"Is Read only" property to "false". Then the value is changable.

Absolutly right. Changing the properties of the items to "ReadOnly = false" makes it possible to enter the values.

I really don'tn know, where such a setting is coming from.

You are welcome! There are quite such "small" things in Personas that you just have to try out and learn them by failtures.

I had opened a message to SAP, who provided a solution today.

This issue is not a general problem of screen personas, but a problem of transaction's programming.

SAP provides a solution for VC01N_M with note 2094076.

Following a Screenshot that shows a part of a dynpro in Screen Personas Editor. In SAP GUI it looks nearly the same way (transaction vc01n_m).

Problem is, that the value for contact type does not change on click.

Also does value change work in Basic flavor?

It's a standard dropdown. Even in Basic flavor it is not possible to enter/change values.

Entering values via SAP GUI is possible of course.

Try to run the transaction using the webgui. I suspect it will behave the same way in which case this is a webgui issue, not a Personas one.

If it works in webgui but not in Personas, then it's a Personas problem.

You should create an OSS incident for the appropriate component.

Using the transaction via Webgui makes it possible to enter values, so it seems to be problem of Screen Personas.

At this point, I'm going to open an OSS message for this issue. As far as they provide a solution, I will post it here.
