Duplicate document number

HI all,

We are facing an issue where we get the same document number for two different documents of different type. THey are using the same number range.

Has anybody ever seesn this before? Any interesting pointers?  We have custom number exit for some of the document types which could be the cause.

The problem happens quite rarely, so we are effectively without a chance replicate it.

I think so customized program not erasing duplicate key occurs.Please check at coding level you may get solution.

That answer didn't really help me a lot. If the bug was obvious from the code we would already have fixed.

Hi Espen,

Check document type configuration you may be configured for different document types with different internal number range.  i.e Doc 1 --> range 2 , doc-> range 3 . If did also there is a chance to appears difference in digits.

Its amazing can you please share the screen shot where two number ranges were met.

They do have the same document number, and both are using the same range - 02.

Wondering if it has something to do with load on the system and caching etc, but not sure.
