I have a communication channel using FTP adapter in which we have use some host name which is pointing to a I/P address. But now we have changed that I/P address and mapped that host name to changed I/P address. Now i am facing a issue that communication channel is still pointing to that old I/P adrdress. Please help me out to resolve this issue.
Hi Rajesh,
note -
1792938 - Domain Name System lookup changes not effected until system restart
advises how to configure the JVM so that JVM IP address caching doesn't necessitate a server restart when IP addresses change.

Can you please tell me how to restart JVM ?
How much time it will take and tell me its effects also?

Hi Rajesh,
in ID.. go to environment-> cache Notifications and see if all the status is green... If yes then you may try for partial or full cache refresh.
You may also try by using new IP address directly instead of hostname.
Worst case if this does not work and if you are running out of time... create a new channel.
Thanks,
Binod
