Universe Using Multisource(SQL Server,Oracle) in information designer tool(IDT)

hi,

when i am trying to create universe using multisource (sql,oracle DB) in IDT i am getting following error

in data foundation errormsg is   :"this data source is not supported in multi source-enabled data foundations" and connections are not selective mode  to create  required connection.

i have checked adaptive processing server(APS) it's working fine.

please let me know why connections are not showing up, even i have created short cuts to connections .

DB's i am using are for connections are  SQL Server ,Oracle DB.

Hi

If want to develop multi-source universe on top of SQL, Oracle

First you need to create two connections and this connection should be secure (.CNS)- Multi source data foundation uses secured connections stored in a repository

hi  srinu,

i have created two DB connections on two databases.

even connection types are secure .cns only.

plz find the attached sheets for  reference in which i am unable to see connection  selective mode.

and in the docs shared by you are selective mode.

in scenario sheet i am unable to see selective mode and able to see error like : this data -source is not supported in multisource enabled data foundation".

Try below steps.

Double click the connections under local folder and test – do same for the connection also

Then you can create data foundation by selecting connections and wait for some time. Then you can able to select the connection

Hi srinu,

i haven't known what is the logic behind it to  refresh and test,

actually connections are working fine and successful while  testing.

i have tested and try to create multi source universe still the issue is same. unable to select any connection.

Error msg as in screen shot:  this data source is not supported in multi source-enabled data foundations"
