Count of the number of times an object is executed

Is there a way to determine the number of times an program, function module, or object is executed over a given period of time? For example, I would like to know how many times program Z_abc was executed so far this year to see if there is justification for continuing to enhance/maintain Z_abc.

Transaction ST03 will show you your statistics. Choose Detailed Analysis --> Business Transaction analysis.

These records are only as good as the amount of statistics you keep. For most instances it is not reasonable to keep a years worth so you would need to download these regularly and store them somewhere else if you wanted to retain them long term.
