Changing step user of SAP Solution Manager background processing jobs

Dear community,

I would like to change the executing user for the following jobs:

SM:REFRESH ENTRYSCREEN

SM:MIGRATE_LANG_DEP_SAPSCRIPT

SM:FILL ISSUE BUFFER TABLE

The jobs are actually executed by user "12345". I want them to be executed by user "SOLMAN_BTC".

I already read SAP note 894279 - Background processing in SAP Solution Manager but I still have no idea.

Can you help me please?

You can schedule the job again with the required user you want.

Also check

tables SMCONFIGJOBS and DSWPJOB.

I already checked table SMCONFIGJOBS - but i don't know how I can change the user (the table contains no filed called "user").

Can you tell me, how I can schedule the jobs again with user "SOLMAN_BTC"?

Hello SAPTechie,

Please go to change mode for each job in sm37. click on step and there you will find a user which you can change to SOLMAN_BTC.

The problem ist, that I can not see any of the following jobs in SM37:

SM:REFRESH ENTRYSCREEN

SM:MIGRATE_LANG_DEP_SAPSCRIPT

SM:FILL ISSUE BUFFER TABLE

Hello SapTechie,

You can check in SM37 - with below criteria -

Selected         job names:  SM*

Selected user names:         *

Selected statuses - Scheduled     Released        Ready      Active     Finished     Canceled

If you still dont find these jobs, you will need to find if they were really scheduled before.

You can also reschedule SM* jobs from solman_setup -> Basic configuration.

Also in my system which is currently on solman 7.1 SP11, only SM:FILL ISSUE BUFFER TABLE job is in released status. Job SM:REFRESH ENTRYSCREEN was there in solman 7.0 EHP1 which we later upgraded to 7.1 SP10.

Hy,

take a look at report "BTC_MASS_JOB_CHANGE". With this report you can mass change the step-user/owner from any job.

The report is delivered via sap note 1532884.
