Hi Gubskiy,

You should install DAA agent on every host.So one DAA for one host, If your host has two names like Physical hostname and logical host name then also one DAA is enough ,but use Agents on fly option in SOLMAN at the time of managed system setup.

Thanks,

Hi Evgeniy,

You install diagnostic agent on every virtual/logical on a physical host.

For eg, if you have two logical host ABC and DEF on XYZ physical host, then install two diagnostic agent on ABC and DEF each, and install one host agent on XYZ.

No,File system /usr/sap/DAA should not share to other hosts.

/usr/sap/DAA it should be local mount.

On, a physical host, for any number of logical host, /usr/sap/DAA should be same.

The only difference is the SMDAXX that determines the agent instance and for which host this will be used. There is only one user per physical host - daaadm which is created and used for all diagnostic agent instance.

You can use command startsap SMDAXX to start and stopsap SMDAXX to stop any particular agent.

Then the directory /usr/sap/ must be shared? Or just a folder /usr/sap/SID/ to the host SID are monitoring? The structure of what is shared directories?

Hope /usr/sap/ is local mount and every system has its own /usr/sap.So just install one DAA per one host.Automatically DAA structure will create as part of DAA installation.
