Hi Gurus,

We have below requirement from our client:

For each Store specific role or each user, Personalization Value with corresponding Site Value , needs to be maintained via Role or via Transaction “FPB_MAINTAIN_PERS_S” for Personalization Dialog “DIA_LO_SRS”.

I am not sure if this is something Security need to maintain or HR guys.

Your advice is highly appreciated on the same.

Thanks

Peeyush

Hi,

you seem to be using In-store merchandising and inventory management. These web dynpro apps work in a context of store. Which store is used is controlled by this setting. When a user starts one of these apps the app determines which store is assigned to user and displays objects relevant for this store only (e.g. goods receipts). SAP also provides a web dynpro app which allows users to change their store assignment. It's visible in portal role delivered by SAP for this solution. But this setting is not replacement for authorizations. The apps also check for authorization object W_SRS_APPL which is site specific.

Cheers

Thanks Martin for your help !!

So does it mean if we are putting authorization level restriction in our backend role, we dont need to maintain this personalization value.

Thanks

Peeyush.

Hi,

you can leave it to users to use Change Store app in portal or pre-assign it for them upfront. Their role will define which store they can actually user.

Thanks again Martin !!

Just a small doubt.

You said "pre-assign it for them upfront". This will be performed by functional people or Security guys ?

Hi,

there is no rule for determining who should do this. It seems like you work in environment where there is lots of politics. I can't say who should do this. Both groups could do it.
