Afaria V7 SP4 - issue getting AD user's info

Hi,

We have a very complexe AD forest with multiple AD domains.

When setting up Afaria security the only possible selection we can set for the DIRECTORY TYPE: Active Directory  SEARCH ROOT:  is the root domain of the forest, but our users are not into that domain.

How can we configure Afaria to use another domain to get our user's data from the right AD domain?

Hi Luis,

We have this problem also...

As a workaround we have used Directory Type as LDAP and bind it to a child domain where the admin groups are located. This way LDAP referals are working and allowing your admins to login to the admin console. But you will have to add user accounts to the admin role instead of groups as this is not using Global Catalog to resolve group membership.
