IDT - .UNX universe back to .UNV universe?

Hello Experts,

We've got a 100+ Deski 3.1 reports that are using our 4.1 BO environment via the Desktop Compatibility Pack (DCP). The most recent version of a particular Universe of importance was converted from a .UNV to a .UNX via the Information Design Tool. With that I'd like the legacy Deski reports to use the most recent version of this Universe (the .UNX file) and curious if:

1) Is there anyway to convert a .UNX file back to a .UNV file? If so, how?

2) Can legacy Deski 3.1 reports use a .UNX universe?

Any help, thoughts or direction would be much obliged!!!

You cannot convert  UNX back to UNV.

Deski does not support UNX.

Hi,

if you convert a UNV to UNX the UNV Version of the Universe is still there. So you can still use it in your 4.1 Target Environment.

If it has been deleted you can run the UMT and migrate it again from your 3.1 Source Environment to your 4.1 Target Environment.
