Replication of service and sales transactions from CRM to ECC and subsequent billing  ***********

We are currently in the process of an implementation involving both ECC and CRM. I have the following queries with the same:

1. Services are to be logged and executed out of CRM. Which document should be the link that transfers the processing to ECC? i.e., shoud the service order be

replicated or should the billing item be sent to ECC ? (billing for sales will be out of ECC; where shold the billing of services take place ?)

Answer :

2. For all the service products; do they need to be created only in ECC and then be downloaded to CRM through the middleware or they can be created in CRM alone ?

Answer :

3. How should the pricing and taxation of services be handled in CRM ? (CIN will be activated in ECC for sales)

Answer :

4. Do the installed bases created for the purpose of contracts and warranties in CRM need to be downloaded in ECC as well ?

Answer :

Kindly respond to the mentioned querries.

Thanks and regards,

Answer : If you have a billing module already implemented in ECC, better to leverage that for service billing also. Replicate the service order to ECC and do billing from ECC.

2. For all the service products; do they need to be created only in ECC and then be downloaded to CRM through the middleware or they can be created in CRM alone ?

Answer :  Service products can be created from CRM and if required you can send the service products to ECC(Sent to ECC button).

3. How should the pricing and taxation of services be handled in CRM ? (CIN will be activated in ECC for sales)

Answer : Interner and Pricing configurator for CRM is the module to handle pricing and taxation from CRM itself.

4. Do the installed bases created for the purpose of contracts and warranties in CRM need to be downloaded in ECC as well ?

Answer : You can download the Equipment master data as installed bases in CRM and also you can download the corresponding warranties from ECC on Installed bases through CRM middleware.
