Could not connect to SAP HANA Cloud Platform system.

After upgrading to the latest version I'm unable to connect my SAP HANA Studio to the cloud platform. When trying to connect I get the following error message:

The identity of user p194xxxxxxx could not be verified for https://services.hanatrial.ondemand.com/services/v1/instances/p194xxxxxxxtrial/persistence/v2/dbtunn....

Wrong user name or password.

The connection worked fine with the credentials before. Also, when I delete the system from the studio and add it again the connection works fine as well. But logging off and trying to log on fails with the error message above.

Any ideas how to fix that?

Ticking the "save password" checkbox in the HANA Studio resolved the issue.

The trial system uses the same IDP as SCN. Inside a web browser both support the username/psw and SSO authentication. For command line tools only user/password is supported. This is different to the SAP_ALL password.

Try the URLs below to access the login screen if you suppress sending your certificate by the browser, then you can use both "register" and/or "forgot password" functions:

https://account.hanatrial.ondemand.com/cockpit

http://scn.sap.com/login.jspa

or just use this:

I tried what you said and reset my password. Then I removed the cloud system from systems view and added a new cloud system using the new credentials. Initially the connection worked. But after logging off (either manually or being automatically logged off) and trying to log in again I get the same error message.

By the way, this error message pops up before being asked to enter the password (I'm not using the save password option).

Just a thought. There was a previous article mentioning CORRUPTION as a possible reason for invalid username or password!

This solved my issue.

Thank you.

I had used the SAP certificate auto-submission during registration and creation of my account and instance. HCP was then using some unknown password.

Once I suppressed the certificate being submitted (used non-default browser frankly) I was able to use the "forgot password" prompts to reset (initially set) to a password designated (and known!) by me.

I now have HANA Studio connecting to HCP after adding/installing the dev tools for kepler.
