Hi,
Note 1928908:
If you are planning an upgrade to the latest patch of SAP MFG EXECUTION CORE, you have to verify the version of SAPMECTC component that was executed in NetWeaver. If you are planning an upgrade to the latest patch of SAPMEINT, you have to verify the version of SAPMEINTCTC component that was executed in NetWeaver. If the executed version is older than the one listed in this section below then the latest corresponding CTC version has to be downloaded, deployed and Upgrade scenarios have to be executed in NetWeaver Administrator. For more information refer to Component Upgrade Guide and patch specific notes.
Compatible SAP ME components:
- SAP MFG EXECUTION CORE 6.1 SP04 Patch 25
- SAP MFG EXECUTION LEGACY 6.1 SP04 Patch 25
- SAP MFG EXECUTION SCRIPTS 6.1 SP04 Patch 25
- SAPMEBOBJ 6.1 SP00 Patch 0
- SAPMECTC 6.1 SP04 Patch 5
- SAPMEINT 6.1 SP04 Patch 17
- SAPMEINTCTC 6.1 SP04 Patch 2
Upgrade guide tells you exactly which ones to execute in section 4.1-4.3.
Regards,
KC
Some fixes may involve changing DB structure, i.e. adding a field to DB that devs missed to add when originally some functionality was developed. For instance, recently there was a case when ODS scripts failed because a field was added to WIP table for some new function, but did not exist in ODS. Fixing this issue was through adding the field to ODS table and such operation should have been done through DB upgrade CTC wizard.
It could also be the case that there were no fixes that require CTC run. To know for sure you should search and read all release and information notes for interim patches. But in any case, running the wizards should not harm.
Regards,
KC
