Hello team.
We try connect to the SAP ERP Foundation Extension powered by SAP HANA - Fully Activated Appliance Landscape Trial.
We are using a Elipse Kepler running in Windows 7, 32 Bits.
When we try connect to our ERP HANA instance from Eclipse.
Add system, we are using the SYSTEM user id.
But get the error message:
"The system cannot be reached. The Logon data cloud not be used."
And can't connect to the ERP HANA system.
Do you have any idea why we have this problem.

hi David,
did you ever get this to work? I'm experiencing the exact same problem as you. I'm running using an AWS account and a CAL account. and trying to create a system in eclipse (running on a CAL instance). and, it looks like the HANA studio is no longer available for download - everything is supposed to be done through eclipse now, apparently.
thanks,
Steve
hi Hannes,
i've just gotten on CAL and AWS this year. and it appears that the HANA studio is no longer available for download - using the 90 free trial. it's looks as though SAP's intention is for what was being done in the HANA studio to now be done with eclipse. is that correct? if not, is there a way to download the HANA studio?
thanks,
Steve
Maybe the problem it's the SYSTEM User ID.
Do you mean, this is the user name "SYSTEM" or is the system with Login in the CAL Control Panel?
We try with both user's and can't connect to the Server from Eclipse using the HANA plug in.

We are begginers in the HANA tecnology, and try do the first connections.
We are follow the user Guide.
In the topic 2.5 Connecting to HANA via SAP HANA Studio, we try do it according to the guide text.
This is the link for the text.

hi David,
To understand your problem correctly:
You have problem to connect to HANA server via HANA Studio, right? Can you attach any screenshot showing the mistake?
Is the connection to ERP /ABAP part working properly?
the more detailed information, the better to help us to support you.
thanks, Vivian
Hi David,
why would you want to connect with Eclipse to an ERP system? The ERP Trial is meant for anyone who wants to go through the demo scenarios that are provided.
If you want to do some development with Eclipse, you should use the ABAP on HANA Developer Edition.
Regards,
Hannes

We are using the HANA Cloud tools.
From Eclipse we download the HANA Cloud Tools.
from this link
https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/kepler
With this you can use the HANA from Eclipse.
Best Regards
Hi David,
if you want to use Eclipse with HANA you should either go for the ABAP on HANA Developer Edition or directly the HANA Developer Edition. As said, the ERP Foundation Trial is there to show the business processes and business demos for ERP. HANA with Eclipse is not part of this Trial.
Regards,
Hannes
