How to extend an article to a new storage location

Hy folks,

we are facing this issue, we are trying to extend an article to a new storage location using MM50, but we can't find the article in the extendable articles.

do we miss something?

You can not use MM50 t-code in IS-Retail solution. You can only extend storage location via MM42 t-code in retail system. We had faced the same problem before.

2 options that you can choose to solve this.

There is a customizing setting that creates storage location data will be created by transfer or movement of the article to this storage location. But generally this solution does not work if you make goods receipt from POSDM via customer return.

Develop a custom program to extend storage location data for articles by using retail spesific material master data functions.

You can try using MASS or MM17 directly.  maintain"Storage Location Data for Material" as required

Hi Marco,

Activate "Automatic Storage Location Automatically" option in OMJJ transaction for a given Movement type. This will ensure that you do not have to extend that article using MM42.

I don`t konw how you solve this, but you could create a LSMW recording tx. MM42
