Low Prio Queue assignment for an Interface

Hello All,

We have 2 interfaces running on the same XBTO* queue (example interface Int123 and Int789). Due to the Int789 running for quite a long time in the Queues, messages of Int123 is getting delayed.

Hence we are planning to assign a dedicated (LOW PRIORITY)  queue - XBT9* / XBTZ* to process the Int789 interface messages. My question is if we assign the Low Prio queues to Int789 interface, will there be any delay in processing Int789 messages, since we have assigned it to Low Prio queues?? What will be impact?

SAP PI 7.0 - Prod system.

Hi Karthi,

You can use message prioritization for Int 123 to process these messages quickly. Int 789 message processing is not effected, it is just like giving more priority to Int 123 which may be small or critical messages. Int 789 messages will be processed normally.
