Installation Base configuration

Dear Experts,

I need your help in below Installation BASE (IB51) relate issue,please provide me ur help to resolve.

1.What is the use of Installation base.

2.Where can we find the Installation base configuration in R/3

3.What are the tables available to link Functional location and Equipment.

Hi Raju,

Functional Location represents the structure of Technical system. It can also represent the Equipment or Component installed. Functional location

Installed Base is also used to identify the installed Components or Equipment at Customer site.

Installed Base concept is new and added in SAP R/3 from 4.7 version. The main purpose of installed Base is , it can be easily replicated in CRM service Component which cannot be used for Functional Location.

Functional Location can also be a component for Installed base which means you can assign all the Functional locations into one structure and form them as Installed Base.

Where can we find the Installation base configuration in R/3

There is no separate configuration node available for Installed Base

All the configurations will be done using  Maintenance Views

Check

V_T371A  for Installed Base Categry

V_T371D for  Object types

V_T371U for object categories

you can get all the table views from V_T371*

What are the tables available to link Functional location and Equipment.

Can get Direct link from ITOB table

or else get ILOAN from EQUZ and pass this to ILOA to get functional Location ( TPLNR)

thanks for your information.

I have checked tables provided by you and unable to find the link between Ibase and Equipment,Functional location and Material.

I got the table IBIN here i can see the list Equipment, Materials installed in IBASE
