Access to Payroll clusters for Reports through SQL?

Hi,

one of my client use SQL for all the reports. They hardly use SAP standard reports. We will not go into why they are not using standard ones. they have created a real-time replica of SAP HCM database and use SQL to run reports out of that. But the programmer there is unable to access the Payroll Cluster tables. How can it be accessed using SQL? Attach file shows how the SQL is used to access SAP database.

thanks

It can be accessed, but he will not be able to make any sense of the data.  The structure of the data is defined within SAP.  This is by design sense the data is sensitive.

There are payroll functions and classes that can be used to extract payroll data perhaps using your own custom function or RFC.  Or if you have an SAP BW system, there are payroll cubes delivered in the standard.  The BW extractor functions actually would be a good function to use to extract payroll data.
