when do we use Transport of Copies and Relocation Requests in Developement.

you can use transport of copies to move your object(which may already be locked under your workbench or customizing TRs) to a specific target, you create a transport of copies by including the object or any other tasks and then you can release this even if your object is locked under any other TR

Hi,

• Transport of copies is basically used for importing the Objects by combining many Transports to the Target system. This can be used for  many other scenarios also.

• Imagine you create and release a few transports before setting up the target system and Landscape. Because of this, the transports can be released without target clients.

         Go to SE01 .

                - Request -> Create

                - Choose Transport of Copies

                - Enter description

                - Click Include Object button (Ctrl+F11)

                - Choose Object list from request -> Enter Request Number which contains object(s) you want to copy.

                  - That's your new Transport Request.

Transport of copies can also be used if you want to transport only selected objects of the 1 Transport to Q box.Suppose client refused to import particular changes to Q box, then you will select required objects from previous

Transport and crate Transport of copies and this TR will be imported on Further systems.
