NWBC 4.0 PL12 toolbar graphics

Hi,

is there in NWBC client some user settings for toolbar graphics, which would defined how toolbar is displayed in the user interface? I am facing an issue that one user has toolbar as menu buttons instead of graphical icons as they used to be in SAP GUI. Example toolbar has a button where reads "Cascating filetering" instead of graphical filter icon. Other user has graphical toolbar icons in same system.

Thanks in advance.

Taina

Hi there,

it's probably a setting on the webgui service; you need to get the following parameter attached to the webgui service (default_host/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui) get the parameter ~webgui_icon_toolbar set to 2.  http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1685800 will give you info.

This is actually something your BASIS team will probably want to manage; they will need to define this and any other parameters as part of their environment set up.  Worth a chat with them at least eh?

Best of luck,

Di

This is NOT exactly an NWBC issue; this has to do with your SAPGUI\WebGUI issue ...

First check with your admin team to verify that this NOT their intend, this could be done for network performance reason (text is less intensive than icon).

If NOT, then basically the GUI Status for the underlying Dynpro (i.e. ABAP) may has been changed. Just ask your ABAP\Basis person to regenerate it.

Hi Taina,

It has something to do with that NWBC launches SAP GUI differently, the one with the icons is using SAP GUI for Windows and the one with text is launching SAP GUI via the webgui (HTML version)

This might be a trust issue. on the computer with the text icons, try adding the URL for NWBC to trusted sites in internet explorer.
