Unable to Launch Java Application

Hello Team,

     I am using SAP PI 7.11 SP 12.

     When I am trying to launch ID, it is opening without any problem, but whenever I am trying to re-launch it further, getting an error "Unable to Launch Application". For this I need to clear the java file stored in buffer and launch again which is taking more and waste of time.

     And this is happening only in PROD environment, rest all environments are launching without any issue.

    Kindly suggest your inputs on the same.

Hi Ravi,

Which version of JAVA do you use? For PI 7.1 it is better that you use Java JVM 1.5 & above (1.6 , 1.7).

If you have multiple JAVA versions installed in your machine please uninstall the older versions & use the only latest JAVA version.

When you say relaunch do you mean that you close your ID & trying to open ID again from Integration Builder?

Hello Ravi,

a simple suggestion is to configure your Java such that it always forces download of the application and doesn't store it on your hard disk. The ID file is just some kB, so this is not a big problem.

You can do that in your control panel Java settings.

Hi Jorg,

     As Integration Directory size is around 50,000 KB to launch. Everytime I need to wait for 5 or more mins depending on the internet speed.

Hi Prem,

     I am using JDK 6 update 45. And I am using this for PI 7.31 single stack also.

     I have tried with un installing existing multiple versions and checked, till no luck.

     When I say re launch, every time I am suppose to delete the java file from control panel's temporary file.

Hello Ravi,

I see. Can you update your Java Version? If you have freedom in your environment you can update to Java 7 and apply all recommended steps. This way it works for me at a client's.

You can then switch to medium security, for example. It requires that your PI system runs the latest version.

Maybe this is an option for you.

please go to Run and give javaws -viewer and below screen will be generate and clear that and open your IR and ID.

Hi Ravi,

As you said there is no issue in opening PI tools however the next time its causing the issue.Can you try to uninstall and reinstall Java also please try and update Java version.
