kindly help me to fix this. Thanks in advance.
Hello Santha,
you can also try doing this operation with "brtools". It also updates some tables respectively.
under oraSID
1-brtools
2-Choose 8Additional Functions
3-Choose 4Change password of DB user
4-Fill the user whose password will be changed (3. blank)
Also please paste the last lines of alert.log of Oracle.
Regards,
Serhat

Hi,
Please share the complete log and are you using SSFS or OPS$. Also try to set default password for the schema by executing command
SQL > alter user SAPSR3 identified by sap ;
Additionally follow SAP Note 400241.

Gaurav

Hi,
Please check for the followings:
1.Make sure listener is running
2.Recheck entries under host file
3.Re check tnsnames.ora parameters
Share the result for tnsping

Hi Gaurav,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I've verified 1.listner is running,
2.application server can resolve db server name/Ip correctly.
3.I've also changed server name to IP address of db server in tnsname.ora file
