Hi all,
We have upgrade portal from 7.0 to 7.31 .
We have one system created for accessing non sap application .
This system is cutom one created from PAR file.
But in 7.3 while creating system we not able to see multiple option like EP 7.0.
in EP 7.0 we have 3 options 1. system from Template 2. System from PAR 3. from Folder.
But in EP 7.3 i can see only one option that is system from Template.
Then how can i create my custom System?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in Advance,
Prasad.
Hi Prasad ,
Their is an option to create the system object using the PAR file, please check the below link
Converting System PAR Files - Using the Portal as a Frontend - SAP Library
Check the below screen shot.
Hope this will help you ....

Anil

Hi Anil,
Thanks for your suggestion.
I have followed below steps:
1. In the Portal Catalog, navigate to Portal Application Repository → com.sap.portal.ivs.systemlandscapeservice→ SystemFromParConverter.
2. Right-click SystemFromParConverter, and select Preview.
The converter tool is displayed in a new window.
3. Select the PAR file to convert. Click Browse, select the file from the file dialog, and click OK.
4. Specify the PCD name of the folder in which to create the system.
5. For example, to place the system in the folder MyFolder under Portal Content, enterpcd:portal_content/MyFolder.
6. Click Convert.
Its giving error like PAR Conversion aborted: File does not exist when ever i have clicked on Download script.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance,
Prasad .
Hi Prasad,
In 7.3 its best to create your own custom XML file describing the system and then upload it and using it to create new systems.
See the following for details:

Dear Prasad,
Can you please run the tool in a brower from a system where portal server is installed?
