Hi,

G/L Account mentioned on line level does not get hit in Journal entry on GRPO and AP Invoice in SAP B1 9.0 PL - 11

I am creating an independent AP Invoice, there are two issues:

1. On line level G/L Account field is not open for selection

2. I have then selected and updated the account on Form Settings. Same account gets updated on line level.

     In Journal Entry selected G/L account on line level shall be hitted. But it does not put any effect on JE. Accounting is set by Warehouse. It picks up accounts from warehouse only.

Need help its urgent.

Hi,

Tested in 8.81 version and PL10.

Tested scenario:

1. Create an item and GL accounts set by item group.

2. While adding AP invoice, just i changed GL accounts for this item to ware house and GL account field is updated as per warehouse GL accounts. But journal entry is posted as per item group GL accounts.

Hi,

This is wrong scenario, for this you will have to re-select the item on line to have the effect of change of G/L account set by Warehouse type.

Whereas my scenario is Item is set for G/L Accounts set by Warehouse. I have changed the account on line level for Purchases to be actually hit. But there is no effect on journal entry for this.

Can you please guide on this scenario.

Hi Sonil,

JE will only take the account from item setting for AP. It may not be changeable from line level. This is different from AR.

what is the type of invoice ? is this Item or Service type.

if the same is type of item then the accounts of inventory should be hit auto as defined these in configuration  (warehouse wise or item group wise etc.) . if the type is Service then it should impact as you choose the account at invoice..

Invoice is Item Type.

G/L Accounts are set by Warehouse. But if explicitly we are want to change the account on line level in that case, it is not getting reflected in Journal entry. On AR Invoice same scenario works perfectly. On line level I can change the accounts explicitly and have the effect on Journal entries.

Issue seems to be on AP side only.

Check the tab basic initialization on company detail form. is "use perpetual inventory " check box is checked or not ? and check too "use purchase accounts posting system"

Both perpetual inventory and Purchase account is checked please check below the screen shot.
