SRM User Interface Add-On 1.0 User Segmentation

We are implementing the new SRM User Interface Add-On 1.0 in multiple countries using SRM 7.02. We would like to migrate certain users to the new Add-on 1.0 UI but also allow other users to continue their use of the current UI in same system.

Is there standard functionality with the UI Add-On 1.0 to support this? If not then, then please provide pointers/solution to develop this.

Hello Eric,

This is very much possible. This can be achieved via user roles. The new role which along comes with UI Addon, /SRMNXP/EMPLOYEE can be assigned to the new users and these users alone would be able to access the new UI addon. The other users would continue to use Shopping Carts via webdynpro UI.

Hi Eric,

The webdynpro UI remains totally unchanged and it is not affected. And also, most of the custom developments from Webdynpro are also supported in the new UI. For the complete details of the functionalities of the UI Addon, please refer the official SAP release page.
