we've configured BI process chain monitoring in solution manager 7.1 SP10.
In technical monitoring > alert inbox, we see multiple alert groups getting created for the same process chain failure resulting in sending multiple alert notifications for the same failure.
here is what I noticed, When a process chain step fails, user receives the first notification from solution manager and BW user repeats the load step, although the repeated step finish successfully, the previous failed step (for which we received alert) still shows red in BW system. Probably, this is causing the number of alerts to increase in the alert group for long time (as data collection happens for every 5 min) and furthermore at times the alert group turns out to be grey and technical monitoring MAI creates a new alert group and sends another mail notification. In this way we receive multiple alerts for the same failure.
1. How to ensure that solution manager sends only one notification for one process chain failure?
2. Is there a way to turn red status of failed step to green after repeated load step is successful automatically (when user tries to force red to green status of failed step, it re-executes the below successful steps in the chain once again which is not expected for transaction loads ideally)?
