We're venturing into a new area of SAP for me - Solution Manager 7.1 (SP11) Data Volume Management (DVM).
The tool looks great in theory, however we have just experienced an unexpected side-effect:
We finally activated DVM for 3 Production systems, after getting 14 QA boxes up and running, and there is what seems to be a massive direct impact on archive log generation. The SolMan system is busy, but was generating around 15-25 GB of ORACLE archive logs an hour - since activating DVM that is up to 50-75 GB an hour of archive logs.
Has anyone seen a similar phenomena resulting from DVM activation?
