Problem with duplicating documents

Dear Colleagues,

I have a question about this scenario in SAP Sourcing 10:

I run RFx "001" with only one supplier "A". After processing the whole RFx (and awarding) I went to supplier "A" data in Supplier Management and I changed his name to "B". When I got back to RFx "001" the name of supplier was still "A". Conclusion: if I change supplier's name for example I don't change data in past events or documents which is really good for reporting reasons. Problem occurs when I want to run RFx which is very similar to RFx "001" and I choose Duplicate Document in RFx "001". In a newly created RFx in suppliers tab there is still supplier with name "A" which is wrong (I have changed name of this supplier in the meantime so it should be supplier "B"). Only if I click into supplier "A" and full data of supplier is opened I will see a proper name "B"...

Have You ever had similar problem? If yes, how did you solve it?

Hi Przemyslaw,

If you change the name, then you would have to run a synchronization to change the name associated with a specific External ID for existing documents.  It will not happen automatically.
