hi,

while executing a function module for approving patches, I am getting the following error :

there is no sap-oss, only saposs is there and connection is ok.

Please suggest

can you please send me the steps for the same as in SAP solution manager 7.1 standard menu I am unable to get "System Preparation">>"Specify Connectivity Data"  also if i am trying to enter solman_setup it showing error.

please suggest

Hello Yuvraj,

Please let me know exactly which error you are getting while executing Solman_setup.

Also for your query, go to Solman_setup - > Specify Connectivity Data

and follow below steps.

1. In the S- User for SAP Backend field, enter the S-User of your Organization.

2. Enter the password of your organization.

3. In the S-User communication field, enter the S-User of your Organization.

4. Choose Maintain Connection

Also check below two steps whether they are executed successfully or not.

1. RFC destination SAP-OSS-LIST-o01 updated for user XYZ*

2. RFC destination SAP-OSS updated for User XYZ*.

Please check and let me know if you still face the issue.

sap-oss and saposs are different RFCs.

Please recreate the missing one by copying.

Perhaps, you can also use solman_setup to create RFC destination stated by Hasanaj.
