Hi,

WBS element is already budgeted and cannot be deleted

Message no. CJ057

i have created a Project and Budgeted the same.

now i want to delete the same Project.

i have removed the budget and made it to zero. availability control is not updated.

no orders made against the project.

how do i delete the project?

pls help.

Hi Suhas,

First of all why you want to delete the project at all?

Secondly if you have released the project you can not delete the same.

I would suggest you to close the project with system status CLSD  and then put a deletion flag with system status DLFL on the project.

tried OPSX...but the status is not changing.

Hi Suhas,

Why you want to delete the Project? You can very well close it off? As you said no cost is posted to the Project.. It will also serve your purpose..

Otherwise the dirty way of doing it would be to Delete the Budgeted Status from JEST table for these project object. If you have debug access you can do it your self.. But I am not sure if it will have any other impact.. It shouldn't as you don't have any cost associated with it..

My first preference would be to try the first option of Closing the Project..

Is there any IM program attached to this WBS/Project?

Try the Program BPDIST03 followed by CJEN as usual.
