Hi,
Please let me know in detail of Alerters in Infoview.
How to enable and disable Alerter.
Is there any limit for alerter in Infoview????
For BO 4.1 too the above information holds good.
You can apply up to 30 conditional formatting rules in a document. You can apply these rules to a
maximum of 20 table columns or rows, free-standing cells, or section cells on the reports. You can
apply up to 10 different rules on a single table column or row, free-standing cell, or section cell.
Refer to the page no 308 in the below doc to get full understanding of conditional formatting in webi.

Hi Sreenu,
Business Objects officially supports 30 alerters in a webintelligence document.we can apply those alerters to a maximum of 20 table columns or rows, free-standing cells, or section cells on the reports.
Business Objects officially supports up to 10 different alerters on a single table column or row,free-standing cell, or section cell.
You can include maximum of 8 sub alerters in an alerter.
You can include maximum of six conditions in a single sub-alerter.
These stats are for XI R2 and R3.I am not pretty sure about 4.1 where aleters are termed as conditional formatting.

Hello Sreenu,
By the term alerter, I assume you meant report alerts. If you are creating webi reports, you can enable conditional formatting and apply to columns with measure so that based on your rule, you can customize the display of specific values. PFB link

Same functionality is available for crystal reports and if you use Crystal reports for enterprise, you have an additional functionality to get an Email alert/entry in My alerts in BI launchpad based on the rule you define in report. for eg:- if you set an alert for sales less than 20000 $, you can enable Email alert so that whenever sales go below the value, you will be notified by email even though you did not open your report. PFB link explains this functionality.
In SAP dashboard also you can set your alert rule and define the specific format required.
Let me know if you need any other info
Regards,
Nikhil Joy
