Hi Ramesh,
It would be better if you explain OR analyze on which phase the workbook is consuming more time.
1. During open, 2. To pop up variable screen 3. To display results 4. During Navigation.
Based on that one can decide where to fine tune and get workbook fast.
So far I can suggest,
1. Check the option in Workbook Setting 'Use Compression When Saving Workbook'.
2. In Design Mode, Uncheck option 'Apply Formatting' - if you don't need it.
3. Check each query and see if it has drilldown is set by default. Remove the default drill down and ask user to drilldown once after query execution.
Both of these can improve the performance. you may have to analyze and update us.
Hope it helps!
Thanks,
Umashankar

hi,
Another approach can be to precalculate the result set of the workbook in the cache using process chains. By doing this the data would be available in cache and the runtime of workbook would be faster.

Hi,
In addition to above. Do you have any icons in your workbook? For ex: Hierarchy expand/collapse.
A workbook refresh generally requires deletion of old icons and recreating new icons and assigning action. This step in BEx takes significant time.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
What is granularity of the data in the querries ?
If you don't have to see numbers of documents/positions in the querries think about creating aggregates. That drastically improves performance.

Remove "Repair workbook" setting in global settings of your WB. This may certainly improve the performance.

Please could you provide more details about your backend query ( formulas / CKFs / RKFs ) and any restrictions. Check any Navigational objects used in the report and number KPIs and chars are used in Rows and Columns.
Also what is the volume of the data you are running and how much history you have in the Cube.
Thanks
Ganesh Reddy.
