Work Center assignment to Plant

Hi guys,

I have 100 maintenance plants with centralized planning plant to plan and execute maintenance jobs.

I have only one work center A with cost center A.

How do I assign my work center A with cost center A to use across 100 maintenance plants?

Hi Pete,

I think I can create only one work center with my planning plant for all maintenance plants. For example:

Work Center: MAINT_01

Planning Plant : 1000

Maintenance Plant: 1100, 1200, 1300....

When creating maintenance order for maintenance plant 1100, I just maintain the work center MAINT_01 and plant 1000 at MO header and add the equipment in maintenance plant 1100.

Please advice.

If these plants are all in the same Company Code, then yes this is a workable option.

But do you have any labour resources on the other plants? And are you talking about the Main Work Centre, or Operation Work Centres?

Hi Pete,

I don't have any labours on the other plants and I'm talking about Main Work Center. For your additional information, my client is on retail business and they want to implement SAP PM for their stores.

Each operations will be done by main work center, thus my operation work center = main work center.
