Hello,

I am trying to do a fresh SAP HANA sp08 single host on premise installation. I am following SAP HANA installation guide.

http://help.sap.com/hana/SAP_HANA_Server_Installation_Guide_en.pdf

I notice I have to have NTP server and (hdblcmgui). How / Where can I get these two softwares. I see NTP can be downloaded for SUSE Linux version.

Can I find (hdblcmgui) in Service Market place ?

Once after I download HDBLCMGUI, will the DB installation be easy.

Please help.

Kind Regards,

Krishna

In the HANA academy videos they show using Putty and NTP (mentioned in the installation guide as recommended).

So I need to download these 2 before starting any installation process. Does it also require any Java installed on top of SUSE Linux box.

can you please guide.

Krishna

Generally, now all SAP products and install/update tools comes with SAPJVM.

I don't really think you need JAVA installed from any vendor.

If you are doing installation on Linux/Unix, you need tools like putty and vnc to access your OS for gui mode from windows.

It depends on how you are connecting to the server.

You can make use of the terminal if you directly connect to the server.

The tool is available in two options. Check this article.

It should be part of the installation media.
