Hi,

I have seen that when ever any user reports an event in UI, the event is reported but when we search in PI with the reported date and time , we do not find any message. Whats the reason here and at what point of time and how the time zone conversion occurs

Hello Dipak,

The events reported from Web UI are directly reports to EM and not report via PI. That's the reason you cant see events in PI.

SAP EM WebUI is part of SAP EM system itself, that's why you can't see update through PI.  We can update event message date and time in SAP EM Login GUI and SAP EM WebUI.

SAP PI system is used to receive data from SAP and Non-SAP system.  If the event message is coming from other SAP system or third party system to convert data or bridge BAPI / IDOC in SAP EM.

When event message comes via /SAPTRX/BAPI_EH_ADDEVENTMSG_02, it uses functional module /SAPTRX/CHECK_TIMEZONE to convert date, time and time zone to system date, time and time zone.
