Activate SLED & Manufacturing date fields in COR6N

Hi Experts,

We are using process orders & confirmations are done using COR6N. The materials are managed in batches & are having variable shelf life due to the nature of business & various markets locations. So we can not enter a fixed shelf life in material masters so that automatic calculation of SLED would happen based upon production date entered during confirmation for the batch produced. In COR6N I can see Date of Manufacturing & SLED both fields are there. But those are inactive & we can not enter that values there. Client need is that those 2 fields should be active & we can enter Date of Manufacturing & SLED in those fields during COR6N for the batch.

How to make those 2 fields active in COR6N ? Kindly provide suggestions.

Regards,

MHP

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion.

Our requirement is we should be able to enter the production & expiry date for the batch for 101 movment type during COR6N - freely & without any calculation like SLED = Production date + shelf life OR as per the calculation given in above thread.

So for that activation of Date of Manufacturing & SLED fields in Goods movement overview screen of COR6N is must.

Can anybody suggest how this can be done ? OR if looking at the requirement can any one suggest for any workaround / user / screen exit / enhancement etc...

Note - This can be done if we make GR from MIGO however we do not want to do this thorugh MIGO.

Please provide suggestions....

Hi MHP,

In case you have activated the Expiration Date Check in OMJ5 for your plant and movement type 101, this is what will happens when you do a confirmation:

  1. If you have maintained the fields Total shelf life and Min.Rem.Shelf life in the material master (plant data / stor 1), then the system will ask to enter the manufacturing date and SLED (Expiration date) will be not editable and will be determined baded on your material master settings.
  2. If you have NOT maintained any of the fields Total shelf life and Min.Rem.Shelf life in the material master (plant data / stor 1), then the system will not ask for the manufacturing date and/or SLED (Expiration date). Both fields will be empty.
  3. If you have maintained the field Min.Rem.Shelf life (only this field and not Total shelf life) in the material master (plant data / stor 1), then the system will ask to enter the SLED (Expiration date) and the Manufacturing date will be not editable.

If you want to enter both fields, in this case you will need to try with a user exit or BAdI. The code of the user exit or BAdI will need to use the function "POPUP_TO_CONFIRM', this way you will be able to enter your date.

Kind Regards,

Mariano

Hi Mariano,

Thanks for the suggestions. All 3 points given are not applicable for me. Can you please tell me which exit OR BADI can be used in this case ?

Else can we have  Date of Manufacturing & SLED anyhow activated in COR6N on goods movement overiview screen ?

Hi MHP,

Try with Exit: SAPLMHD1 (function module exit EXIT_SAPLMHD1_001). You can use this exit to calculate the expiration date.

Chack also BAdI: VB_SLED_MANAGEMENT, Method MAINTAIN_SLED_PARAMETERS.

I don't think you can make visible both fields at the same time.. as I mentioned there three possibilities.

Kind Regards,

Mariano
