Hi Gurus,
This is my scenario.
In cost center repot details like this
Cost center=1000
Cost elements are:
1111 water = $ 1000
2222 labour= $500
3333 Daily labour=$600
4444 Finace charge =$800
5555 Admin charge=900
Activites are:
WATER
JVEXP
ADMIN.
--------------------------
Client requirement
1)Water GL cost should go to "WATER" activity.
2)Labour & Daily Labour GL cost should go to "JVEXP" activity
3)Admin & Finance GL cost should go to "ADMIN" activity
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have created splitting rule as follows.
OKES:
I have created "XX" Splitting strucure under that i have created 3 assignments.
Under each assignment i have assigned the respective cost element and activity. as per client requirement.
Like:
Assignment 1)
cost element=1111
Activity type =WATER
Assignment 2)
cost element=2222 & 3333
Activity type =JVEXP
Assignment 3)
cost element=4444 & 5555
Activity type =ADMIN
OKEW:
I have assinged the above "XX" structure to Cost center 1000.
Please advise above splitting structure is correct or can achieve above requrement in any other way.
Regards,
Vivaan
Based on your requirment, you go by direct cost allocation. because you know the costs of each. If you don't know the costs then you go by indirect cost allocation. Based on that you allocate the respective activity types.

Hello Vivaan,
Splitting stru. is used to distribute activity independent cost from cost center to activities assigned to that CC. As per your requirement, you are not required to create such splitting structure. Assign activity dependent cost as variable cost while doing planning in KP06, then there is no use to create splitting struc. for dependent cost.
For ref. please check the below article
http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-46028
Let me know if you need any other information.
Best regards,
Manish

Hi Manish Sharma,
Thank you for your reply.
In our scernario only "POWER" activity is dependent, all other are activities are independent.
We did not paln KP06, planned only KP26 Activity prices.
I have mapped splitting structure as i said above.
Please advise on KSS2 and KSII Calculation.
Regards,
Vivaan
Hi..
Although Labour & Daily Labour cost have same activity qty, you should create separate activity masters for Labour & Daily Labour cost to have the different activity price for them.
Assignment 1)
cost element=1111
Activity type =WATER
Assignment 2)
cost element=2222
Activity type =JVEXP1
Assignment 3)
cost element=3333
Activity type =JVEXP2
Assignment 4)
cost element=4444
Activity type =ADMIN1
Assignment 5)
cost element=5555
Activity type =ADMIN2

Hi Big Choi,
Thank you,
Please clarify me on below Splitting mapping
I have created Assignments as you mentioned above.
Now i have few cost elements other than above, which cost should go to all Activities(WATER,JVEXP1,JVEXP2,ADMIN1,ADMIN2)
So aprt from Above Assignments i have created one more Assignment as below
Assignment 6)
Cost element = 6666 to 9999
Activity = Water to Admin2.
Now Under "XX" splitting structure i have total 6 Assignments.
Please advise if i mapped the splitting structure correct way or if any changes required.
Regards,
Vivaan
Hi..
What rule do you want to use for splitting the cost of cost elements between 6666 to 9999?
If you use activity aty, refer to below picture.
Refer to SAP Help portal site:Example for Plan Cost Splitting - Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM-CCA) - SAP Library
